The Montreal Royales downed the Victoria Capitals, 14-5, at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. The Royales were led by Lou Behan, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. At 16-11, the Royales have a slim two-game lead in the Lester B. Person League East Division.

In the top of the fifth, second baseman Pat McFarlen hit a 2-run single to center. The single, which was hit off of Gene Tomlin, gave Montreal a 6-2 lead.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," McFarlen told the Montreal Daily News.
