Misner Shines in 20-7 Calgary Win
The Calgary Outlaws defeated the Montreal Royales, 20-7, at Corvettes Ballpark. Calgary was led by 18-year old second baseman Ed Misner, who was 4-5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6. Picking up the win was Bill Brulhart. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 8 and walked 4. The win gives Calgary a season record of 15-12.

With Calgary trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Misner hit a fastball from Oscar McIntyre for a grand slam home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Outlaws ahead, 5-4.

"Winning never gets dull," said Misner.
