Alex Kerr powered the Victoria Capitals to a win over the Kelowna Heat. The final score was 8-6. The Victoria left fielder, who is tied for 7th in the LBL in home runs with 10, was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Jean Devaux finished the game for Victoria and earned his 2nd save. Victoria leads the Lester B. Person League West Division by 2½ games.

Herb Dower helped out the Victoria cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the catcher was 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Victoria manager Chris Riddle.
