The Montreal Royales extended their winning streak.

The Montreal Royales beat the Saskatoon Legends in a game featuring much hitting but not much pitching. The final score was 15-9, Royales. One of the hitting stars was center fielder Jeff Rouault. Rouault, who is tied for 9th in the LBL in total bases with 67, went 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 7. The Royales have now won 6 straight.

Lloyd Dukeshire had a big grand slam home run for the Royales in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Montreal leading 5-4 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 18-year old right-handed pitcher Tom Rayner and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Royales on top, 9-4.

"I like the roll we're on," said Montreal manager Jon Miron.
