Klein Shines in 13-8 Montreal Win
The Montreal Royales and Niagara Stars lit up the scoreboard.

In a high-scoring game between Montreal and Niagara, shortstop Tom Klein was a difference-maker. The 18-year-old helped Montreal grab the 13-8 win. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Christophe Le Floch, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-2. With Montreal leading 6-4 in the top of the fourth, Klein hit a fastball from John Marshall for a grand slam home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Royales ahead, 10-4.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Klein.

The Royales, at 16-7, lead by one game in their division.
