Outlaws Trip Legends in Extras
|
The Saskatoon Legends got a sterling performance from pitcher Sonny Moriarty, but the Outlaws still prevailed, 7-2. Moriarty was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of shutout ball. Even with the win, the Outlaws have a dismal 6-16 record.
Late-game drama came in the top of the 11th inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Matt Quattlebaum, hit a triple. It helped Calgary seize the win.
"We did a lot of things right," said Quattlebaum.
