Capitals Fall Short at Kelowna
Kelowna Heat starter Danny Barnaby pitched a strong game against the Victoria Capitals at Brantford College Grounds, leading the Heat to a 4-3 win. Kelowna reliever Mark MacLean got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Hudson Birley was tagged with the loss. Carter Yeo closed the door for Kelowna, picking up his 6th save of the year.

Had Bob Whitehead not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Whitehead hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Heat.

"Danny is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Kelowna manager Jorge Martínez.

The 'W' lifts Kelowna's record to 12-9.
