Gosselin 3-for-5 as Heat Squeeze Past Trois-Rivieres
Thanks in large part to left fielder Wade Gosselin, the Kelowna Heat beat the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 9-8. Gosselin was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Kelowna reliever Shayne Woodroffe was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Gérard Philippon. The triumph makes Kelowna 3-17.

Bob Moraine hit a 2-run double off Gérard Philippon in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Heat in front, 9-7. In addition to the double, Moraine had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
