Kelowna Picks Up Another L
|
The Niagara Stars racked up a win at Drummondville College Grounds, bumping off the Kelowna Heat, 4-3. Gary Jarrett, who started for Niagara, pitched effectively for his team. Jarrett got the win, improving to 4-0. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. The Heat, at 2-17, have lost 7 in a row.
The Stars got a big at-bat from first baseman Leland Crowley. For the game, Crowley was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Niagara a 2-0 lead.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Jarrett.
