Hot Start Continues for Legends
Saskatoon starter Sonny Moriarty pitched effectively against the Trois-Rivieres Saints at Ballpark of Red Deer College. The right-hander led his team to a 9-6 win. Don Spotton recorded the save for Saskatoon, his 7th of the season. The Legends have an impressive 13-5 record.

The Legends got a big at-bat from second baseman Bert McGreer. For the game, McGreer went 1 for 6 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Saskatoon a 6-5 lead.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," McGreer said. "We did a good job of that today."
