Sonny Moriarty had an impressive outing at Ballpark of Red Deer College today, hurling the Saskatoon Legends to a 1-0 shutout victory over the Montreal Royales.

"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Montreal skipper Kamatari Inoue said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."

On the day, the right-handed Moriarty yielded 5 hits and tallied 10 strikeouts with no walks.
