The London Monarchs got a strong performance from pitcher Gavin Meyer, who stymied the Trois-Rivieres offense en route to a 6-2 win at Blue Wings Ballpark. Meyer got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 4 over 8.1 innings. Meyer allowed 2 earned runs. London is now riding a 3-game win streak.
With runs few and far between, the Monarchs had to seize their opportunities when they came.
