Monarchs Walk It Off for 5th Win of Season
The London Monarchs managed to get by the Montreal Royales, 8-7, at Hatchets Ballpark. London designated hitter Walt Lachance set himself apart with his performance. The triumph makes London 5-10.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With London trailing 7-6, Lachance jumped on a fastball from 18-year old right-handed pitcher Glenn Mouland and hit a 2-run home run to right. With one swing, the Monarchs had a walk-off win.

"Fun game," said Lachance, "even when the outcome was in doubt."
