The Kelowna Heat cruised to a 12-2 win over the Trois-Rivieres Saints at Blue Wings Ballpark today. Byron Kent led the way, going 2-for-3 for Kelowna. The Heat bumped their record to 8-6 with this latest triumph.

The Heat got an important contribution from shortstop Bob Whitehead, who in the top of the ninth hit a 0-2 fastball into left for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Heat ahead, 12-2.

"I really like what we did out there today," Kent said after the game.
