Montreal Royales starter Harley Johnson was in fine form against the Victoria Capitals at Eliminators Ballpark, leading his team to a 5-3 win. The save went to Charlie Lawton, his 5th this season. Montreal is now 9-5, 2 games up in the Lester B. Person League East Division.

Early in the game, second baseman Pat McFarlen had a run-scoring triple for Montreal. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Royales on top, 1-0.

McFarlen told a Montreal Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
