Powered by Don Dodd, the Kelowna Heat downed the London Monarchs, 18-7. Dodd went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and 3 walks, while scoring 4 for the Heat. Yes, it was a win for Kelowna; but their 2-10 record is still nothing to boast about.

Wade Gosselin had a big 3-run home run for the Heat in the bottom of the first inning. With Kelowna trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Errol Delaney and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Heat ahead, 3-1.

"We got the victory," said Dodd. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
