Steve Hamilton really sizzled at the plate in his team's 24-5 win over the Montreal Royales. The Victoria second baseman blistered Montreal for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.

"Hamilton was too tough to get out today," the Royales skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."

Steve Hamilton doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Brad Chambers in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
