Blake Helps Trois-Rivieres Cruise to 10-3 Win
With center fielder Bruce Blake leading the charge, the Trois-Rivieres Saints defeated the Calgary Outlaws, 10-3, at Corvettes Ballpark. Blake, who is the 6th-best prospect in the Saints organization, went 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Dan Swedlove, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held Calgary to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 9 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. With the win, Trois-Rivieres improves its record to 6-5.

In the top of the sixth inning with one out, Trois-Rivieres designated hitter Kevin Woodford hit a 2-run double. It made the score 5-2, Saints. For the day, Woodford went 1-5 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
