|
The Victoria Cougars locked up a win at Falcons Field, knocking off the River Falls Falcons, 7-3. On the mound for Victoria was left-hander Jeff Kramer. He played a major role in the triumph. Kramer, now 4-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Earning his 1st save for Victoria was David Gallardo.
Victoria relied on the hitting of Juan Gallegos to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the third inning to put the Cougars on top, 4-0. For the game, Gallegos had 1 triple and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Kramer.
At 57-33, the Cougars find themselves in third place in the RCL LA West Division.
