Peckford Helps Legends Run Win Streak to 3
|
Getting a good performance from center fielder Dan Peckford, the Saskatoon Legends defeated the Victoria Capitals, 9-6. Peckford went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Legends. Don Spotton earned the save for Saskatoon, his 4th. The Capitals fall to 5-5 and continue their uneasy start to the 2044 season.
Andrew Arbuckle, who is rated as the 89th best prospect by BNN, chipped in for Saskatoon with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
