The Niagara Stars downed the Kelowna Heat, 6-5, at Drummondville College Grounds. Lyndon Laporte led the way, going 4-for-5 for Niagara. Niagara has a mark of 4-4 after the win.

With the bases empty in the bottom of the 14th, Alex Melsom delivered the knockout blow when he hit a walk-off solo home run to win it for Niagara. In the contest, Melsom went 2 for 6 with a home run and a walk.

"Put a star next to this win," Melsom said.
