Adams Shines in Monarchs Win
|
Getting a good performance from third baseman Mickey Adams, the London Monarchs defeated the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 11-4. Adams was 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for the Monarchs. The Monarchs, with just their 3rd win so far in 2044, have yet to catch fire.
Michael Quinlan hit a 2-run double off Roy Mailman in the bottom of the second, which put the Monarchs in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Quinlan had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Quinlan told the London News.
