Dempsey, Saints March to 6-3 Victory
The Trois-Rivieres Saints topped the Saskatoon Legends, 6-3, with youngster Fred Dempsey playing a key role. Dempsey went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Saints in the win. Greg Pond collected his 1st save. The win leaves Trois-Rivieres with a record of 2-5.

Dempsey had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the seventh, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Saints went on to win.

"The key is not trying to do too much," said Dempsey.
