Stars Clip Heat, 7-6
|
With center fielder Ed Buell leading the charge, the Niagara Stars defeated the Kelowna Heat, 7-6, at Brantford College Grounds. Buell was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. With their winning streak at 6, the Stars have raced to a strong start this season.
Buell had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Alex Didkowsky, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Stars a 7-6 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Buell.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Buell.
