With center fielder Jason Frizzell leading the charge, the Kelowna Heat defeated the Niagara Stars, 8-4, at Brantford College Grounds. Frizzell, who is rated as the 92nd best prospect by BNN, was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Heat, now 4-0, have hit the ground running this season.

With the clubs tied 4-4 in the bottom of the fifth and a runner on 1st, center fielder Frizzell, who is the 8th-best prospect in the Heat organization, hit a run-scoring triple.

"We came out aggressive," said Heat manager Jorge Martínez. "We came out swinging the bats."
