In a tension-filled contest between the Kingston Beats and the Aiken Thoroughbreds, pitcher Luis de la Guila was superb. The Kingston right-hander, who is tied for 5th in the RLA in quality starts with 7, spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. Picking up his 7th save was fireballing right-hander John Finn. At 32-56, the Beats are currently 5th in the RCL LA East Division.

de la Guila gave Kingston a blue-ribbon performance. The 5-foot-11 right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7.2 innings of work.
