It was a fun time at Ballpark of Storm Lake College, where the Oregon Ducks and South Mississippi Golden Eagles tangled.
Benefiting from Andrew McLeod's productive game, the South Mississippi Golden Eagles downed the Oregon Ducks, 4-2. McLeod was 4 for 4 with 4 singles for the Golden Eagles. Picking up the save was Matt Huber, his 10th.
The Golden Eagles got a lift from designated hitter Jayden Ratcliffe, who in the bottom of the seventh hit a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Golden Eagles on top, 3-2.
"We did enough to win," said Ratcliffe.
The Golden Eagles bumped their record to 23-23 with this latest triumph.
