The USC Trojans beat the Fresno State Bulldogs, 6-5 at Brooks College Grounds, in part due to catcher Noah Richardson, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. USC currently is in 6th place in the Cliff Gustafson at 25-21.

USC used the clutch hitting of Jeremy Leffew to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Trojans the lead, 6-5. For the game, Leffew had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Richardson told the USC Times. "It's as simple as that."
