The Surrey Thunderbirds powered past the Victory Lakes Crawfish, 10-7, at Crawfish Grounds. David Barreto provided some of the pop. Triad Syx was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2. Danny Landaverde came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-1. Victory Lakes has now lost 6 consecutive games.

The Thunderbirds got a big hit from center fielder Bobby Helmlinger. In the top of the seventh, Helmlinger smacked a grand slam home run off Victory Lakes pitcher Arturo Olivera. It was his 19th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Thunderbirds were ahead, 8-7.

"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Victory Lakes manager Sam Reynolds.
