Multi-HR Game for McCoy in 7-4 Win
|
The LSU Tigers topped the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns by the score of 7-4, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Steve McCoy. McCoy belted 2 home runs for the Tigers. LSU reliever Corey Johannsen picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Alex Reed absorbed the loss. Picking up the save was Nate Heide, his 11th.
Shawn Milton gave LSU a good at-bat in the top of the seventh inning. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run to help send LSU to the win.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said McCoy.
LSU, now 20-26, holds 19th place in the Cliff Gustafson.
