Stars Capture Close Win
Rancho got a terrific game from left fielder Omar Lopez. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Arlington, 6-5, in 10 innings. Lopez was 4 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Arlington reliever Justin Kinney picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Seth Feltner was saddled with the loss. Toshio Hirose locked down his 5th save.

Arlington relied on the hitting of Luis Vargas to pick up the win. The first baseman ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Stars on top, 6-5. For the game, Vargas had 1 triple and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We just battled, never quit, and continued to grind out at-bats trying to create some opportunities," said Arlington manager Sergio Castaneda.

Today's win puts Arlington at 32-53, while Rancho falls to 25-59.
