Thoroughbreds Earn Late Win
The Aiken Thoroughbreds wiggled past the Estación Juanita Red Wings, 4-3, at Aiken Stadium. The win was highlighted by the performance of Aiken second baseman John Bryant. With the win, Aiken goes to 65-20, while the Red Wings fall to 28-57.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ignacio Montoya in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a solo home run off 20-year old left-handed pitcher Max Palenzuela to win the game for Aiken. The home crowd went nuts.

"To become 'battle-tested,'" said Bryant, "you need to compete in this kind of contest."
