Jackson Lifts Cyclones to 12-8 Win
A 6-RBI performance from Andy Jackson helped the Iowa State Cyclones beat the South Illinois Salukis, 12-8. Nick Bowman, now 3-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. Iowa State has a record of 28-17, placing them 5th in the Ron Fraser Division.

Billy Esposito, who is tied for 6th in the SBL in stolen bases with 8, helped out the Iowa State cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder went 2 for 5 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Jackson told the Iowa State Today.
