|
Rice center fielder Cy Jones had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 12-5, to USC at Nesquehoning College Fields. Jones was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the save was Nick Druckman, his 1st. The Owls have now dropped 5 straight.
Wes Buchalter, who leads the RDL in bases on balls with 39, aided the USC cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 times.
