TCU Horned Frogs starter Joe Bolton was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Long Beach State 49'ers, 4-3. TCU reliever Mike Ferrell got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Adam Boudreau was tagged with the loss. Chris Summers, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.

TCU took a 4-3 lead on Malik Watson's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Watson hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Long Beach State pitcher Adam Boudreau shaking his head.

"I like what I saw today," said TCU manager Bang-xao Woo, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."

The Horned Frogs are now 19-25, while the 49'ers fall to 27-17.
