The California Golden Bears picked up a win at Ballpark of Wrightsville College, knocking off the Ole Miss Rebels, 5-0. On the mound for California was right-hander Jake Alofs, who played a pivotal role in the win. Jason Dunagan picked up the save for California, his 1st of the year. The Golden Bears improve their record to 22-22 with the win over Ole Miss.

A critical at-bat came in the top of the seventh inning when the Golden Bears sent 20-year-old second baseman Morgan Sager to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to put California on top, 1-0.

"I felt we were ready to go," said California manager Robert Sumption. "Our pregame was pretty good."
