Victory Over Rebels Takes Long Beach State to 28-16
The Long Beach State 49'ers weathered an outstanding game by Ole Miss center fielder Adrian Lehman to topple the Rebels, 3-2. Lehman went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Connor Andreyev was credited with the save for Long Beach State, his 4th of the season. At 28-16, Long Beach State is in third place in the Cliff Gustafson.

Eric Mahood had a big solo home run for the 49'ers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Long Beach State leading 2-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Scott Huffman and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the 49'ers on top, 3-0.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Mahood.
