Royal Oak Leprechauns starter Luis Baca pitched a strong game against the Springfield Sentries at Royal Oak Field, leading the Leprechauns to victory, 2-0. The Leprechauns improved their record to 40-41 with the win over Springfield.

Juan Diaz took Springfield hurler Leonel Macias deep in the bottom of the third. His solo home run put the Leprechauns on top, 1-0. In all, Diaz had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
