Dixson Stars in 13-12 Green Wave Win
The Tulane Green Wave defeated the Fresno State Bulldogs, 13-12, at Berthoud College Grounds. Tulane was led by 20-year old second baseman Billy Dixson, who was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Tulane reliever Bobby Thompson was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Bob Falk. At 24-20, the Green Wave find themselves in 10th place in the Cliff Gustafson.

Chris Saltzberg had a big grand slam home run for the Green Wave in the bottom of the first inning. With Tulane leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 18-year old left-handed pitcher Bob Falk and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Green Wave on top, 5-0.

"I felt good up there," said Saltzberg. "I saw the ball well."
