Arkansas overcame a superlative game from Marty Pufahl to beat Florida State, 6-5. The Florida State pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. The save went to Kevin O'Donnell, his 3rd this season. Arkansas is 5th in the Ron Fraser Division with a record of 24-19.

Had Adam Bullington not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Bullington hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Razorbacks.

"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Bullington. "The only team that can beat us is us."
