The San Carlos Pipers picked up a win at Red Wings Grove, courtesy of Frank Diaz. The right-hander helped his team stop the Estación Juanita Red Wings, 3-1. The Pipers move to 15-65 with the win.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, Ruben Ayala was at the plate when San Carlos scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Pipers to go in front, 3-1.

"Frank giving us the start that he did was huge," said San Carlos manager Chris Santacroce.
