Steelhounds Rally Late to Nip Werewolves
The Brighton Steelhounds besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Ft. Worth shortstop Kevin Foster by beating the Werewolves, 8-7, at Steelhounds Grounds. Foster was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. The win went to Carlos Fernandez in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Roman Mazariegos took the loss. The loss makes Ft. Worth 30-49.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Brighton designated hitter Ricky Contreras, facing Danny Gonzalez, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Steelhounds the 8-7 win.

"This one wasn't over until it was over," Contreras said, postgame.
