Walk-Off Seals 28th Victory for Golden Eagles
South Mississippi third baseman Billy Rambo contributed significantly to his team's 7-6 win over the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns. Rambo, who is tied for 8th in the RDL in bases on balls with 50, went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Golden Eagles. Earl Knott, now 2-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. South Mississippi now owns a record of 28-15.

South Mississippi got a knockout punch from John Crabtree. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Crabtree told the South Mississippi Bulletin.
