McCall Lifts Cougars to 11-2 Win
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 18-year old right fielder Vic McCall, the Washington State Cougars stopped the Oregon State Beavers, 11-2, in 9 innings. The win was credited to 18-year old right-handed pitcher Brad Mesh in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Mike Pinckney took the loss. The Cougars move to 24-19 with the win, while the Beavers drop to 26-17.

John Reilly hit a 2-run triple off Mike Pinckney in the bottom of the third, which put the Cougars in front, 2-0. Reilly had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," McCall told the Washington State News.
