Tigers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The LSU Tigers overcame a good performance by Baylor pinch hitter Nick LaNoue to knock off Baylor, 7-6, in 11 innings at Wolverines Stadium. LaNoue was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. LSU reliever Jeff Windle got the win, raising his record to 2-1. David Krivak was tagged with the loss. LSU is now 11-31, Baylor 26-16.
The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Jason Dahl came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Baylor pitcher David Krivak, he hit a 1-0 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting LSU on top, 7-6.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Dahl told the LSU Herald.
