Georgia Tech starter Ben Lavender pitched effectively against the Arkansas Razorbacks at Ramparts Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a 4-0 win. Lavender, the winner, moves to 4-1. He threw 5 innings of 0-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Tyler Powell earned the save, his 1st.

Georgia Tech used the bat of Brian Mayham to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Yellow Jackets ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Mayham told the Georgia Tech Today.

The Yellow Jackets bumped their record to 22-20 with this latest triumph.
