Golden Eagles Earn Late 8-7 Win
The South Mississippi Golden Eagles did just enough to secure a victory over the California Golden Bears, 8-7, in 10 innings at Ballpark of Storm Lake College. Nobody did more than right fielder John Crabtree. The win makes South Mississippi 27-14.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Crabtree hit a cutter from Keith Russo for a solo home run. The Golden Eagles, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Crabtree said.
