Battaglia Shines in 10-7 Houston Win
A 5-RBI performance from Bryan Battaglia helped the Houston Cougars beat the Long Beach State 49'ers, 10-7. Gary Cannon nailed down his 2nd save. The 18th-place Cougars hiked their record to 18-23.

In the first inning, Battaglia had a grand slam home run for Houston. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Cougars on top, 4-0.

Battaglia called the triumph "a good team win."
