		| Tar Heels Win at Home, 11-2 |
		| Though he had a great game, Ken Monti could not single-handedly produce a win for South Carolina. North Carolina won the game, 11-2. Monti went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. North Carolina pitcher Evan Thielmann got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Steven Prendergast got the loss. With the win over South Carolina, the Tar Heels improved to 25-16.
South Carolina had the bases loaded in the top of the sixth. With two out, Bobby Hanes stood at the plate, hoping to find a gap. Instead, he grounded out. The score remained 2-1, North Carolina. The Gamecocks never could mount a comeback.
