Baylor starter Justin Dietrich kept the Fresno State offense in check, while his team rolled to a win, 16-1. Dietrich, now 3-3, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 12, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The win elevated the Bears to 25-15.

Baylor got a big at-bat from Diboll, Texas native J.D. Drow, who in the bottom of the third hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Bears ahead, 14-0.

Losing skipper James Barnes called the defeat "kind of a clunker all around."
